Resorption plants in the 5 - 50 kW performance rangeare produced as single units or in small batches. Stainless steel plate heat exchangers are used as absorber, desorber and solvent heat exchangers. The pipework and equalizing tanks are made of stainless steel. All the external media connections are designed for liquids. Even the absorbers are water-cooled. A wet cooling tower preferably is used for recooling. The system can be supplied with PLC-based control. Since temperatures of use below 0°C can be reached, it is also possible to combine the system with an ice bank to cover peak load requirements for refrigeration. The illustration shows a 50 kW resorption plant which is deployed as a demonstration plant.
Resorption plants in the 5 - 10 kW performance rangeare mainly manufactured as single units for universities and other research institutions. Here it is also possible to use polymer equipment and transparent components in the plant. The small plants are frequently used in the context of research projects.
Resorption plants in the performance range > 10 kWcan also be manufactured as single units for demonstration plants. Small batch production is possible, which considerably improves cost effectiveness versus the initial costs.
Membrane contactors with an integrated heat exchangerare manufactured as single units for use in gas-liquid contactors. In each individual case, it is necessary to clarify for each application whether the necessary boundary conditions can be fulfilled. The contactors are further-developed in the context of research projects.
